Nightmare After Christmas

Hello! Yes, today was insanity! My dad and 4 other ward members ordered freeze dried year supply food from a company called Mountain House.
It arrived 2 days ago.

My dad asked me to sort the food and put them in boxes for the other 4 families.

Simple enough right? WRONG! It was a headache and I have a few pictures to prove it. It took us 4 stinkin’ hours. First we had to make sure that the purchase order matched what was shipped to us in the plethora of boxes. Mind you, some of the food was back ordered so we had to take the number purchased minus the backorder number and that was the shipment order.

ALSO- There was multiple forms of the food. EXAMPLE: Beef Stew. It came in a "Pro-Pak" (whatever THAT is) and a "#10 Can" and a "10 oz. package" and a "16 oz. package". So, sorting the food, if you can tell was a fiasco from start (10 am) to finish (2 pm). So...See for yourself and be grateful this wasn't you today!

These are the boxes...unopened. OH, if I only knew what was to come...

Thank goodness for that leatherman in my stocking...This is my sister Just beginning to try and figure out the system of their packing arrangment.
This is the hallway of packaged foods. Nastiest one I saw was....Seafood Chowder. Bleh!

This Granola stuff was surprisingly the heaviest package...even above the canned stuff! No joke.

At some point I "accidentally" dropped a freeze dried ice cream sandwich and it fell out of it's package. That might sound gross to you but it's actually delicious. From what I understand, you can also purchase this stuff in smaller quantities from Laredo's Army Surplus (It's a yellow brick store on the corner of Main and Extension in Mesa)
