Date UpDate

Possibly the 2nd best first date. Ever.

He picked me up at 7 pm from my condo and drove us back to his house. Dinner was all ready: Roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn. Brownies for dessert. (Definitely a mini thanksgiving meal!)

We ate in the dining room where there just happened to be no lighting so he lit a candle and put it in the middle of the table. After dinner we got our brownies and put ice cream on top and then went outside and chatted by the pool while we ate. Then we discussed possible options of what to do next.

We decided on getting a movie and my portable DVD player from my place. Then taking his truck out to the canal in Lehi and watching the movie in the bed of the truck. We packed the bed with two foam pads, blankets, and pillows. We chose the movie JAWS just because we thought it would be funny since we were out by the water.

Yes, I realize the dissimilar type of water but whatever.

Anyway, we cuddled throughout the movie-which, how does everyone else feel about cuddling on a first date? Too Much? I don't know. I love cuddling so I was okay with it but maybe I shouldn't???

After the movie was over I REALLY needed to go to the bathroom. I didn't want the night to end yet though. So I grabbed his maglite and some toilet paper (yes, I thought I might need it so I threw it in the truck earlier) and walked down the road a ways til I found a thick bush. Peeing at midnight is creepy...

Anyway, happy day after that. I got back in the truck and we just cuddled for a while longer. I could NOT go to sleep so I just laid there looking at the stars. We talked a bit here and there but he kept dozing off...and I knew he did because he was snoring in my ear! I thought it was funny though.

We stayed out til 2:30 and probably would have stayed longer except I had to pee AGAIN and I didn't want to go squat out in the bushes for a 2nd time so we left.

He hugged me goodnight. (Which I was glad for cause I felt like cuddling was pushing it on a first date and a kiss...though I would have LOVED...would be over the edge).

What made it the 2nd best date ever? He was funny. Sarcastic like me. Cute Smile. Cute eyes. Very sweet. Need I go on? :)

ah. I was in la la land today just thinking back on what a good time it was and how I didn't want it to end.
