Extra, Extra...Read All About It!

The newest phenomenon has just occured during the last month of summer vacation. What is it you may ask? Well, here goes: I read some books! Yes, you may think how trivial Camille! But you are mistaken! This is a difficult task for me. Usually the only reason I read a book is because my class/exam grade depends on it. This time, I did it for FUN! *Gasp!*

My family and close friends should know how odd this may be. The strangest and maybe the most exciting part is that after I got over the hurdle of reading one book, I read another, and another...and bought another. I caught the reading bug or something cause I'm hooked. After every book I seem to want more!

The books that have seemed to recently capture my attention are (in no favoring order):
  • A Modest Proposal
  • Rules of Engagement
  • Meet Your Match
  • ...soon to be read Bitten

These specific books, if you didn't notice are LDS Chic-Lit books. The best kind of book, in my opinion, for a young LDS college student my age because they are comical and romantic at the same time!

I can't believe I'm going to say this but, if anyone knows of this genre of book that I have left off the list that they think would keep me hooked, please let me know!

Some day soon I hope to include on my list of best reads, the Twilight series that everyone loves...i'm just not so sure I'm ready for those yet...they seem to be so full of suspense that I'm trying to work up to them. And, I think I would have to have a lot of time to devote to them...it's so agonizing to start reading a book and not be able to finish it in one or ten sittings.

yep ditto on The Alliance, one of my all time favorites. And it all depends on how fast you read. Maybe I am just used to inhaling books, but I mean the twilights are so good that they are pretty easy to read at a fast pace--the last one, Breaking Dawn, is 754 pages and I read it in less than 48 hours. And that is at the same time as taking care of an injured husband and an active little boy. I say dive into the Twilights!

oh the red eyes...in most of those pictures, it's just the red eye from the camera flash, but the rest of it is just red lip liner around our eyes...and a bit of red blush as shadow.
my eyes were probably irriated more at the end of the night from all the glitter i had on tho. :)
