Ya, I went on a date...

I went on a date on Friday night last weekend. It was a great date...or so I thought.

My guy friend set me up on a blind date with one of his good buddies from church. He picked me up at 7-ish. We met up with our group of 4 or 5 other couples at another person's house.

(P.S...my date was pretty hot, I'm not gunna lie. Medium build, tan skin, clean shaven, stylish clothing, very well-mannered, good humor) Pretty much all the things I look for in a guy. :)

Anywho, we went to Ned's Krazy Sub, picked up the grub, then went to South Mountain Park (I think??) Ate our oh-so delicious sandwiches...meaning Turkey and cheese, cold, on white, with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and vinegar. Yes; vinegar=LOVE IT!

Then we played some Bocce ball. {prounounced: BAH-Chee} It's Italian. Kinda like Croquet...actually, nevermind...not really. Just look it up...or see pic of old men to visualize!
It was lots of fun...except it was chilly and windy...I didn't mind though cause I was with a funny, attractive guy!

We played for, I dunno, a bit, maybe 2 hours?? Then we decided to head over to someone's house for warmth by way of fire and dessert by way of smores. Yes! Yum!

Did that...got blinded by the smoke a couple dozen times cause...yes, still windy outside!

It was getting late finally...around 11:45 he took me home. We talked about this and that...ultimately I thought the feeling was mutual...we enjoyed each other's company and it was a good date. He even said so, and I quote, "I needed tonight. It was a lot of fun and who can complain when they're out with a pretty girl?" Ya, so I was pretty stoked cause then I was thinking, "Yeah! He's gunna ask me out again!"

Sure enough, he took me to the door and asked for my number so he could give me the details to this bbq that was going on the following night. I gladly gave it to him. He proceeded to call my phone right then so I would have his number. Hurray right?!

End of night...I go to sleep all happy and giddy.

Next day...no phone call.

I figure...maybe he's with his family doin' stuff for Easter. I can handle that. 7 o'clock comes when the bbq was supposed to start...no call. 8 o'clock...no call...9 o'clock...no call. WAH! What is wrong with me?

I call my guy friend (the one who set me up on the date) for details about the bbq. I get dressed...lookin sharp might I add! Go over there...he's not there.

LONG story short...I must have read him wrong? He was pretending? UGH! And THIS, my dear friends...is why I'm still single!!!

He better have a really good excuse! I'll beat him up if you want me to. He sounds very studly though. :-) Can I say that?

I doubt he was pretending. But, maybe something just came up. Don't lose hope. Maybe he just got scared.

I'm sure something just came up. Guys don't normally waste their time saying things like that unless they mean it.

There are a few times when I acted interested, I was just trying to be polite. I guess now I see that was wrong. Oops. I played with a few peoples minds! haha

Sure, he might have a really good excuse... However, if that is the case, he should have called you to let you know. I'm such a brat, I probably would have texted him and told him off. Guys need to know that they can't pull crap like that. Maybe I'm just high maintenance. You are a great girl and deserve better. You played soccer with me in highschool, feel free to give me his name and I'll give him a good beating for you..! lol
